What is BPA?
Future Business Professionals of America (FBPA) is now known as Business Professionals of America (BPA). BPA is a Career Technical Student Organization, or CTSO. The purpose of BPA is to empower students to pursue careers in business management, I.T., finances, and other similar careers. There are over 1,800 chapters in 25 states and Puerto Rico. It is also organized into College/Post-secondary, High school/Secondary, Middle level, Alumni, and Professional Membership divisions. Here at Oologah we are a High school/Secondary division.
This year we have 21 members and 7 officers, the most in several years. They are led by Sharon Hudson and Agnie Littrell. BPA offers leadership and community service oportunities. There are scholarships for members and over 80 different cometitions they can compete in thoughtout the year. There has never been a year where at least one student has made state championship in one or more competitions.
