Wanda Lee Caffey
Wanda Lee Caffey, age 86, passed away on July 19, 2019 in Tahlequah, Okla. She was born Feb. 11, 1933 in Amber, Oklahoma to Allie Mae and Arthur Lee Mann, the 9th of 11 children.
On Feb. 9, 1951, she married the love of her life, George Caffey and soon after graduated from Oologah High School. Wanda and George made their home and raised a family in the Claremore/Talala area until his death in March of 2001 shortly after celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. Due to failing health, Wanda and her beloved dog, Little Girl later moved to Tahlequah where she made many acquaintances and friends.
She is survived by her children; Deborah Dinsmore of Okmulgee, OK; Sharon Skinner and husband Joe of Tahlequah, OK; Dan Caffey of Wasilla, AK and Mike Caffey and wife Susan Sullivan of Tulsa, OK. She also leaves behind 6 grandchildren; T.J. Dinsmore, Tabitha Chism, Courtney Skinner, Dana Lay, Joel Skinner, and Richard Caffey; numerous great-grandsons and many other relatives scattered across the nation.
Services will be held at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home on Friday, July 26 with viewing from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and the funeral at 1 p.m. Services will conclude at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at the Fairview Cemetery in Talala, Oklahoma.
She will be missed by all.
